We’re thinking about getting our son a dog. What’s the best age? 10 years old?

We got a dog when my youngest was 5 and that was the right call for us. Old enough to understand ‘gentle’ and actually mean it. My sister got one when her kids were 2 and 3 and she said it was too much. I think 5 or 6 is the sweet spot but every kid is different

We got our first dog when my son was 7. Some kids are mature younger, some aren’t.
