I just read that email from PGCPS about CMIT North and South, and I don’t know… I’m feeling anxious about it all. They said the schools will be open next year, which is good, but then they also brought up budget issues and state changes connected to CLF. That part kind of made me pause and wonder what things will look like after next year.

I’m glad they’re keeping the admin fees low and talking through funding. Maybe I’m just overthinking it. Is anyone else feeling like this after reading it? Are you planning to join the town hall or just wait and see what happens?

Yes nervous as well for my upcoming freshman. CMIT North schools especially are so good….I really hope PGCPS steps up to keep them open

Gonna listen in and hope for the best. It seems like maybe PGCPS is going to help based on the email but you never know

After that meeting yesterday, I still feel like there are no clear answers

Exactly! There were a bunch of assurances that they will work with clf but no real answers. Soms of the high school parents are probably going to start looking at private schools

This is such a real concern and I’m glad people are talking about it. CMIT is genuinely one of the gems of PGCPS.

Anybody heard anything else? I have a 10th grader and if the high school closes in 2027 that would be so disappointing for senior year
